Exchange image...
Everyone's exchange stuff looks really good! I wonder what kind of writing we'll get in response? Here's mine, though I'm a bit concerned the contrast and saturation might be out of whack on computers other than mine... :/ We'll see.

Lindsay Biffs it up
Hello.
Thanks for inviting me into the friendly fold of illustrationists Lizzy...
Here's what i produced for text+image...A kind of pagan ceremony I would say... (Think I may need to moderate my obsessively line-based drawing style- yesterday I gave myself repetitive strain injury on my hand and had to bath it in hot water to soothe it!Hope this doesn't become a major problem cette année, or torment is ahead.)
Now, back to CVC-boring-S!
...
Here is my illustration for the collaboration project...shamelessly inspired by the dancers on the boat we saw in berlin! I was totally stumped for ideas so I thought this would make a nice image. I am getting into a terrible habit of posting everything twice - here and on my own blog! oh well. i have a website now, by the way, hurrah! there's nothing on it though but the novelty still hasn't worn off...

Text::Image
This is an etching I've been working on for Harvey's collaboration project. I recommend etching to anyone, it's really quiet in there at the moment and it's now free! Yey! It's also good for mass production of things that would be good at, for example, a Christmas fair. Like the one we happen to be going to in November...
Also here is an image by Il Sung Na that you might like.

Old old fashioned
I've been feeling quite old and a little boring recently, drinking buckets of tea and getting excited about folktales. Here's a wee drawing from my time in Boston for the biffblog pile, some odd things have happened to the colours whilst uploading but i hope you'll accept my offering in all its' orangeness... Here's an old man too, to balance things (this is a portrait of someone not yet bearded).
Quite lovely presentations today too, go us!
Websites Anyone?
Hi guys,
if anyone is thinking of setting up a website - remembering that we all have to have one by the end of the year for professional practice - the company that Jaimie and I use for ours, 34sp are offering a years free webhosting if you buy a domain name with them before November 9th. It's a pretty good deal you save about £18, and you can always buy your website in advance and not upload anything for ages if you're not ready to set up a website yet.

Character sketches
Hey guys, thought I'd finally add something to this blog and post some character sketches, which are about the only thing that's keeping me going right now, and probably what I'll end up doing for the rest of the year (and hopefully I will learn to expand my range of facial types... I'm slowly getting there!)
The one on the top is fortunately/unfortunately a doodle-gone-mad on my proposal notes, because procrastination is at its peak already.

inspiration?
been looking at a couple of past eca graduates (mainly here) for some inspiration. Claire Murray's work is soooooo funny, she just draws animals in such a funny way. i love it.
