Scatter brain

Just a sketchbook image from my one-line poems project. I'm finding it hard to commit to just one project for any significant amount of time, which results in none of them really going anywhere. Maybe I should make myself a high school style timetable... yeah maybe not.

online tutorial for comic figures

hey, thought a couple of people (Mark and Jaimie!?) might be interested in this: http://www.glennfabry.co.uk/workinprogress.htm

It shows stages of drawing and painting a figure for comics/fantasy art... maybe is a bit basic/obvious but has a couple of good pointers.

sad day.

The Man Who Couldn't Cry

Hey, hope everyone gets their essays done in time for tomorrow, we deserve some kind of celebration for sure. Yes please.

Now that we actually have to do some drawing I thought I'd post a nice project I saw the other day. Scotty Reifsnyder came up with this amazing looking kids book based on the Johnny Cash song 'The Man Who Couldn't Cry'. The rest of his work is worth a look too, lots of nice retro americana in there and plenty of good lettering too.

Happy New Year

Hi all, time to get back to work after the crazy dissertation period! This is by Violeta Dabija, I can't remember if I found her website from a link on this blog so apologies if someone's already mentioned her!
