The Fall

I really like this film, and the cinematography in it is insanely good. Check out a preview if you get a chance. Lee Pace does a really good job in it. It got mixed reviews, but I thought it was excellent.

Bulletin Illustration

Here's an editorial illustration I did for the Edinburgh Uni staff magazine about the Scotland Year of Homecoming or whatever they're calling it! I hope the background colours aren't too bright my computer doesn't have very good screen resolution so it's hard to tell.

call for comic artists

Ryan van Winkle from the Forest is looking for comic artists/illustrators as he's making up a collection by different artists; 'The Edinburgh-based Forest Publishing is putting together a graphic novel anthology and we are looking for work from artists who combine words and images in various ways'.

Ethnicity?

Hey guys - I thought we had too many posts without images, so here's one.
Wondering if you could help me out... what sort of ethnicity (or mix of ethnicities) does this drawing look like? [Completely regardless of clothing.] Even if it just looks Caucasian, if let me know what it seems to be to you I'd appreciate it.

David Gentleman

ooh its been a while since i posted something nice on here so...

These Penguin covers for Shakespeare plays are by the spectacularly named David Gentleman. They are amazing. David Gentleman was a student under the infamous Edward Bawden at the RCA, thus his pretty awesome skills.

3x3

Hey guys... I don't know how many of you are planning to enter 3x3, but the deadline is February 14th and you can submit any illustration at all - mind you, there is a 15 $ entry fee (about 10 pounds).
Just asking if anyone wants to have a group pin-up sometime this week? Don't know how useful it would be, but it was mentioned a few times so I don't know if it's happening or not.

Here's a website you should all check out pencil-ilustradores.com . It's a Spanish illustrators' agency website with illustrators' portfolios on it - some of them are really nice.

Exhibition

There's an exhibition of Alice McMurrough's work at the Open Eye Gallery at the moment, those of you that are doing dark fairy tale projects might be quite interested in it. It's open until the 11th of February.

Also, does anyone know if we start the graphics collaboration tomorrow or Tuesday?
