However, my annoying enquiries are not over... the question i have is, how do i rid my blog- the title banner, and the images, that is- of that box that goes around everything? any suggestions? i've tried in vain to locate the magic, 'no box' feature...

you need to change the line colour to white. i think its under settings (where you choose text colour and so on) it too me so long to work this out too.
