Statement

Hey guys,
Does anyone know if we need to write a personal statement to go in our folders with everything else? Or did we already do that (for the thing with our picture), and we just have to have a CV and proposal?

yeh we have to write a longer statement to go with our protfolios, but i'm not sure if that is the same as the proposal?

Its like the proposal but it's done as a retrospective. Harvey said don't just list your projects but say things like what you researched ad how you developed it. It's a bit like the dissertation 200 word summery that we had to do.
It should be about an A4 page long but mine's 2 pages - oops!

do we need to do a proposal too?

Wait, so, the retrospective proposal and the personal statement are one in the same?

You know, they never did give us that checklist they promised us

I presumed that the statement WAS the re-written proposal, but I might be wrong. It kind of defeats the point of calling it a proposal, but whatevs.

Gahhhhhhh

Right, I'll e-mail Jonathan and ask!

i'm almost totally certain that the statement is the rewritten proposal. except obviously you change it from detailing what you are going to do to what you have done.
that is all we have to have.
(and the flippin' cv of course.)

Yes Lizzy is right... I found the document that says "a final version [of the study proposal] will form that basis of an artist's statement for the degree show."

..Does this actually have to go in our show after assessment? I hope not...
